Marrie d June 16, 1885, by Rev. J. Walsh, then pastor of the Universalist Church of Peabody, the couple have resided in Peabody since that time. For the past 45 years Mr. and Mrs. Lord have been residents o f Beckett Street. Even though Thursday marks their 53d anniversary the couple plan to celebrate the event very quietly.
Mrs. Lord was the former Nellie M. Galeucia of Peabody, and the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary E. Galeucia. She has always been a resident of Peabody. Mr. Lord, the son of David and Harrie tt Lord, was born in Ipswich but moved to Peabody during his early youth. For more than 25 years he was employed by the A. C. Leawrence leather company, but was retired on pension last year. He is a m ember of the Universalist church, Peabody Grange and Odd Fellows. Mrs. Lord is also a member of the Universalist Church, Starlight Rebekah lodge andPeabody Grange.
The couple have three children. one daughter, Mrs. Florence E. Crofts of 74 Charter Street, Danvers, and two sons, Henry A. Lord, 59 Lynnfield Street, Peabody, a prominent plumber, and George F .
