"Born December 10, 1837 and in 1850 came to (Batavia) Illinois, 1846 in June Mo, RR west of Buffalo, canal boat trip from Troy to Buffalo. Buffalo to Chicago, Lake Steamer. Chicago in 1846 about the size of Batavia Ill. now.
Went to Beloit (college in Wisconsin) in 1857 graduated in 1862 went into Army Sept of 1862 came out in June 1865. Began study of medicine
1865 & 6 with Dr. Clark of Rockford, at N.W. University in Spring 1868 came to Ames (Iowa) to begin August 28, 1868.

All at Ames Iowa.Left Iowa October 1884. I came December 25 1884 was in Bota (?) until Oct 1885 lived 70 Park Ave till May 1, 1889. Edgar went to Beloit (college) Sept 1888.
We stayed in Hermosa till Sept 1893 then moved to 843 W. Adams Street. Edgar and Will graduated at Col. of Phy. & Surgeons April 1, 1894. I went to Cal. with Eva Feb. 10th 1894. Mother, Will and Lauren went April 20 1894. Moved out to West Chicago May 1st 1894. Roy went to Cal. September 1st 1894, all came homne from Cal. next spring of 1895. Will and Roy first.
Eva and Will married at Uncle James April 10, 1895. Eva died at North Aurora (Illinois) January 15, 1896.
Left Chicago June 1898 for Ames. Roy and Lauren left a little earlier by wheel to visit Edgar at Pon Revsburg (?), making an over night visit at Aunt J. at Mt. Vernon Ia. Was at Ames again till September 5, 1905, left to make Edgar a visit at Virginia City (Montana) for one year, one month, one day, having arrived at his house Sept 8 1905. Arrived at Highland (?) October 13th 1906. Lauren came one year later. Went to San Diego July 17, 1907 moved to Escondido September 10, 1907.
Edgar died at White Sulpher Springs September 21st 1909.
Roy died at Escondido May 8th 1910
We left Escondido October 26th 1912 for Claremont, Cal.
